Review: Children of the Night

Children of the Night
Children of the Night by Dan Simmons
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dan Simmons’ “Children of the Night” had a great story in-between some of the excess information. Even though, there were many times I was lost with all the medical jargon and extensive descriptions that Simmons found necessary to insert, I was anxious to read to the end to see how, or if, Kate, the heroine would find and bring home her strange, adopted son. The book definitely was more exciting toward the end, moving along quicker with many unexpected twists and turns. As a suggested read for those who love the vampire genre, I would recommend “Children of the Night;” just skip the excess, though, and get right into the story.
